1. The most important rule - have fun. This is an RPG, not a real war. ^_^

  2. The current character limit for this RPG is one. If others are still available and you prove you can handle more than one, you can take two. This is at the discretion of the GMs.

  3. While we will allow a small amount of leeway, unfortunately no Gundams/mobile suits can be created, nor will we accept original characters. There's other RPGs where you can do this, and this isn't one of those.

  4. For the most part, characters should be written in character, meaning Trowa wouldn't suddenly take up public speaking and Heero wouldn't decide to be a comedian. As amusing as these concepts are, this RPG will try to stay as close to the original storyline of Gundam Wing as possible. We also understand that some personalities differ between the fansubbed and dubbed versions, and it's up to the players to decide which version they'll take.

  5. This RPG will not incorporate anything shown in Endless Waltz until a.) we get to that point in our stories and b.) it gets shown in the US. Those of us fortunate enough to have seen Endless Waltz should try and keep it a surprise for those who haven't yet.

  6. Killing of playable characters is not allowed unless you clear it with the person who has the character or, if no one has the character yet, you ask the GMs. We understand that at certain points in Gundam Wing certain characters die, but whether or not they will is up to the player or the GM to decide. If the character has a player, we must have confirmation of your agreement from both of you, in seperate emails, from each of the players respective addresses. If you want to kill your character, you must have a fair amount of chapters with a good bit of character development. Make us cry when they give their final breath. ^_~

  7. The creation of weapons is allowed, to a point. There is no such thing as a BFG in Gundam Wing (Wing Zero blaster gun notwithstanding). What this means is if the person playing Duo wants him to carry two guns and a knife, he can, as long as there's good reason.

  8. While this is a fansite, this is not the place for random Gundam Wing conversations. If you wish to discuss things outside the RPG, please use the general message board. Also, the mailing list is reserved for the RPG alone. Don't spam either place, and be polite. The GMs reserve the right to ban from either location at our discretion.

  9. As much as we'd like to think so, our dear characters are not invincible, so you can't make them that way. There's also no ultimate weapons in the Gundam Wing universe. If you're unsure whether your idea might fall into this category, email the GMs and clear it with us first.

  10. If a writer disappears for a month, they will be put on the MIA list, and they will be emailed by the GMs. If they don't reply within a week, their character will be up for grabs again. We understand that writers can get cases of writer's block, or become busy in their real lives. If you think you'll be gone for a while, email us and let us know so your character can remain yours. This is going to be fast-paced, because Gundam Wing is fast, and if you're gone for too long you'll be left behind. Similarly, if you get a character and don't write something for him/her within a month, you'll lose your character. If you're going to go through the trouble to apply for the character, you might as well write for him/her too.

  11. This should go without saying: you cannot post a chapter to the mailing list until you've been approved for that character. The subject line for your chapters should read:
[Location] Character Name Chapter Number: Chapter Title (optional)
So, it should read like this:
[New Edwards Base] Heero 1: Deceit, Tallgeese, Self-Detonation

Chapters where the characters are in the actual void of space will be written as such:
[Outer Space] Duo 1: Anyone Seen my Gundam?

    C
hapters written on the colonies will have their specific designations:
[Space Colony L1] Doctor J 1: Gundanium and Blood

  12. If you want, you can use Japanese names (ex: Deathscythe / Shinigami). You can also use Japanese phrases, such as the infamous omae o korosu, and whether you want to translate them or not is up to you. However, if we find out you're cursing in a foreign language, we may ask you to rewrite your chapter.

  13. Plagarism is not allowed. If we receive any conclusive proof of plagarism committed by a player, you will be immediately dropped and banned. So don't try it.

  14. Please remember, this is a story about a war. There's going to be violence in these stories. However, excessive violence and described sexual encounters are not permitted. There's places to post your lemons, and it's not here. Yaoi/yuri relationships are allowed, but please remember that not everyone is tolerant of these. If your chapter has a good amount of blood-letting or a yaoi/yuri encounter, you must put a warning at the beginning of the chapter. If it's a crucial chapter, you may be asked to write two versions.

Note from Heero: I'm adding a new rule that shouldn't have never been needed, but frankly, I can't take it anymore. If an application blatantly doesn't fit the simple guidelines given in the Rules and FAQ, THERE WILL BE NO RESPONSE. I've better things to do than deal with people who can't follow directions.
